"Silver Surf expands horizons , with the partnership with T. Patterson in California..."

Silver Surf is each time expanding more the horizons. The surfboards factory from Santos is now at the United States´s market and is bringing some innovations from there. Recently, Sylvio Tico realized another exchange with the experienced shaper Timmy Patterson.

“That was the fourth season I spent with Timmy and I realize the importance of getting this update of knowledge, because his concepts are always in evolution. Being there with him, it is possible for me to learn his techniques to make sure the T. Patterson surfboards we produce in Brazil are exactly the same” says Tico.

“Our professional relationship is connected to the trust that Timmy has on me and my brother”. “Timmy believes in my potential as shaper and likes to share his knowledge with me. Every question I come with, he explains in details even about the tools he uses”, explains Tico.

After this exchange, Tico brought to Brazil some new models, including the ones from WCT surfers and new creations like the “Quad”, a surfboard with 4 fins. Some news are also related to materials, like the Tuf Light surfboards. This is a new concept of surfboards, that are very light and resistant, produced with polystyrene blanks and laminated with different layers of materials with epoxy resin.

This exchange was also good to enlarge Silver Surf in California. “We are getting our space there. They like our boards and we have some clients there for a long time. Every time we go to California we bring a few boards and we’ve been also producing the boards there”, says Adriano Teco.

Eduardo Sapienza, who is living in California for over 12 years, is the person responsible to get these orders. “The client orders the board and Eduardo tell us all the information about the board, so we design the board in the Surf Cad Software and we send the file to be finish there.” Says Teco. .
